International Renewable Energy Agency Global Geothermal Alliance event: The International Renewable Energy Agency held the Global Geothermal Alliance event in Florence, in 2017 which was attended by more than 200 high-ranking government officials, industry players and NGOs. The only Hungarian representative of the event, Dr. Tamás Medgyes reported on the experiences of geothermal-based district heating in Szeged, as well as the possibilities and plans of the Hungarian geothermal industry.
